Any applicant applying for a Level 8 Honours Degree programme is required to submit a general art and design portfolio for review, demonstrating creativity and observational drawing skills. All candidates must upload a digital version of their portfolio as we do not accept physical portfolios. 

Please ensure you have either a CAO or Griffith College application number as you will need this to submit your portfolio. 

Candidates will have the opportunity to select an assessment date when uploading their portfolio. You must upload your portfolio by your chosen date.

We would advise any new students to hold off on making large purchases before they start any of our programmes. Our lecturers will often advise students in terms of the best equipment and software packages. On becoming a student, you will also be eligible for various student discounts at major retailers, so it is generally better to wait.

Most part-time programmes have two scheduled weeknights from 6.30-9.30 with additional fortnightly classes as required on a Saturday morning and/or afternoon.

A: You can expect to be in college up to five days a week with studio classes and lectures normally between 10am and 5pm.

A portfolio of art and design work is required for the BA (Hons) in Fashion Design, BA (Hons) in Interior Architecture and the BA (Hons) in Design Communications. A portfolio is not required for the Level 7 Interior Design or Fashion Design courses. Portfolios should include samples of sketching, notebooks, concept development and technical drawing.
